They first are given anesthesia. Just the same as killing a pig…

"Several patients were very up-front and candid about it, that they bought an organ taken from an executed convict for about $10,000. Most of the patients are ecstatic to be off of dialysis, and none has seemed particularly perturbed regarding the source of the organs."

Village Voice. Dr. Thomas Diflo describes a growing practice: Americans fly to China where they help the Chinese government profit from its assembly line death row by buying the harvested organs of executed prisoners. "In China, human rights groups say, citizens have been executed for nonviolent offenses like taking bribes, credit card theft, small-scale tax evasion, and stealing truckloads of vegetables. Political dissidents have also been sentenced to death."'

Leopards, pumas, and ocelots, or poor vision, wishful thinking and farm animals?

"I thought it was Nick or one of them throwing something, but then it just came straight out. It had greeny, yellow eyes and was staring straight at me. It was all black, bigger than a Labrador, but smaller than a Great Dane, but it definitely wasn't a dog. It moved instinctively like a cat. It was really low to the ground, crouching down... Then it showed its white teeth, and I just turned around and legged it."

Fortean Times. ABC's, or Alien Big Cats, have been reported running wild all over the United Kingdom since 1963, but only recently have the reports increased greatly.'

"The menu is very extensive, with many different preparations of shrimp, lobster, calamari and fresh fish, but somehow, nearly everything I sampled tasted pretty much the same. The dominant flavors were fat and salt, and a vaguely seafood-y flavor that didn't seem that different whether you were eating shrimp pasta or stuffed flounder. Both were smothered in a very heavy garlic Alfredo sauce, not unlike the cheesy cream sauce that bound together broiled shrimp, scallops and deviled crab in the Outer Banks sampler."

If you pour enough water on a double scotch, it ceases to taste like whisky

"We don't want to lose our heritage. If they come in, they have to accept our culture. It should be forced on them."

The Times. Britain is in a turmoil as the conservatives cry out "England for the English" against waves of immigrants and asylum seekers. Average Brits as well as simple racists and bigots now feel empowered to speak up and it's difficult to make out who's who. Jean Wormwood, 75: "Every time you speak out you are accused of being a racist. It's very sad. We are not against genuine asylum-seekers. We just don't want illegal immigrants coming into the country and getting lost. A lot don't want to work. They want an easy living. They do have an awful lot of children."'
