Editorial Note: Similar synonyms for the first two senses are peckerhead and peckerwood, both in a literal definition ‘(a part of) a penis’ and in a more derogatory one, ‘an unsophisticated person; a redneck.’ Another synonym for the second sense is scissorbill.
