top hat n. For Nitro, the Liberty platform got a stretch and a new body, or what the industry calls a top hat, as a quick and inexpensive change. Nitro is built on a 108.3-inch wheelbase and is 178.8 inches long overall, which makes it slightly larger than the Liberty at 104.3 inches and 174.4 inches respectively. soli n. The Ghanaian media coined the term “Soli” long ago. To be honest, it does not carry with it any baggage of honour, but it has now come to represent one major aspect of Ghanaian media culture. In strictly ethical considerations, there is no other meaning to it besides bribery. A journalist goes to cover an assignment and is given an envelope containing wads of money to “help with your transport.” This “help” takes several forms.
