Citations: 1992 Steve Everly Kansas City Star (Mo.) (July 4) “Its name doesn’t fly, but eatery stays” p. B7: It was called All ’n One because Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and KFC restaurants were all under one roof. But the official name didn’t last long with teen-agers. They soon nicknamed it the Ken-Taco-Hut and still call it that. 1996 [Douglas E. Berry] Usenet: rec.games.frp.cyber (May 21) “Re: [CP 2020] Third edition suggestions”: Many places in our game-world will not serve you if you are heavily modified. try to exist where even KenTacoHut shows you the door. 2003 Charlie Blackmar @ Lewis & Clark College Piolog (Portland, Ore.) (Feb. 7) “Where are all the truck stops?”: I encountered enough Texaco Gas Stations attached to KenTacoHuts to last a lifetime. 2005 [The Reverend] Forum.optica8.com (Mar. 15) “Seeking burgers”: They exist in various permutations: Kentucky Fried Taco, Dunkin Robbins, Pizza Bell, and, as you mention, KenTacoHut. 2005 McCook Daily Gazette (Neb.) (Oct. 7) “Southwest shorthand”: One describes the Kentucky Fried Chicken, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut businesses, which are now under one roof. Brought to McCook from elsewhere and popularized by the young staff at the three-in-one restaurant, the condensed title is “Ken-Taco-Hut.”
Reader comments:

What makes you think PepsiCo owns these fast food chains?  That is a common misconception but they are all subsidiaries of Yum Brands, Inc.

Yum! Brands Inc., based in Louisville, Kentucky, is the world’s largest restaurant company in terms of system restaurants with nearly 34,000 restaurants in more than 100 countries and territories. Four of the company’s restaurant brands—KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and Long John Silver’s—are the global leaders of the chicken, pizza, Mexican-style food and quick-service seafood categories respectively.

You’re right: my misunderstanding was that Yum was still wholly owned by PepsiCo, but further digging confirms that it is indeed an independent company. I’ve revised the entry to reflect this. Thanks!
