Editorial Note: The format usually emphasizes reggaeton, dancehall, and English- and Spanish-language hip-hop, but also includes pop music in both languages, as well as merengue, salsa, and R&B. Etymological Note: Hispanic + urban ‘a broad genre that includes music made by and for Black Americans.’
