Citations: 1993 [Jason D. Kelleher] Usenet: alt.drunken.bastards (Dec. 20) “Re: love”: It’s time to regain your manhood. Go out, get drunk, find a cute fire-crotch, then.…Fuck the snot out of her on your kitchen floor. 1994 Lawrence Kutner New York Times (Feb. 24) “Parent & Child”: The harassment started a few months ago on the school bus. Millie, a student with red hair, was called “fire crotch” by several sixth-grade boys, who giggled and snickered among themselves. [1995 Richard Wilk (Nov. 13) “Connections and Contradictions: From the Crooked Tree Cashew Queen to Miss World Belize” @ Beauty Queens on the Global Stage Colleen Cohen p. 228: The Queen was chosen to represent respectability, in a community where everyone knows the difference between the “church gyaal” ("study brains,” “homegyaal”), and the “loose woman” ("vamp up,” “engine,” “fire crotch”) who has children by many different men ("patchwork children”).] 1999 Jennifer Kornreich Cosmopolitan (May 1) “Dating Diary”: Jamie’s hair is kind of reddish too. What, Steve can’t find a brunette or even a bottle-blond in all of New York City? Ugh—he probably has some weird fetish.…“Firecrotch” was how my friend Jason explained the redhead allure when I shared my Steve Alt fetish theory. 2000 Chris Mooney Deviant Ways (Oct. 3) p. 5: His wife, Ash, was no great lay—not like that nurse at the hospital, fire crotch, a hot little minkie with flaming red pubic hair and a very uninhibited appetite. 2002 [Kerri (num1stunna)] Kerri’s Journal (San Antonio, Texas) (Dec. 31) “I will be a goddess and a queen”: I as well dyed my hair, and I’m with Amy…I look like a fucking fire crotch now. 2005 Bryan Intihar Electronic Gaming Monthly (Aug. 1) “Bully; Become a 15-year-old a-hole” no. 194,: Scut Farkus…(A Christmas Story)—This firecrotch takes pleasure in forcing his victims to say “Uncle.” Ralphie did, however, get the better of him in the end. 2006 Defamer (May 17) “Lohan-Hilton Catfight Update: Brandon Davis Uses Nuclear Option, Officially Upgrades Tiff To War”: With the zeal of a teenage Klan inductee at the moment he realizes it’s OK to drop the n-bomb at his first hate-in, Davis reveals a weird prejudice against redheads by derisively declaring Lohan a “firecrotch” over and over again, occasionally stumbling into spittle-flecked inspiration like “Lindsay Lohan is a firecrotch, she has freckles coming out of her vagina, and her clitoris is seven feet long.”
Reader comments:

“Firecrotch” gained a new degree of legitimacy (or notoriety) when it appeared in “Law & Order:  Criminal Intent” Episode 135:  “Seeds” (Season 7, first aired Oct 11, 2007).

Provocating and antagonistic Suspect Jason Rush (actor August Emerson) lashes back at even more provocating and antagonistic (and flaming-red-haired) Detective Nola Falacci (Alicia Witt):

Jason Rush (yelling at Nola Falacci): “Anything else you want to see, firecrotch?”

According to TV.com, this use of ‘firecrotch’ was “ripped from the headlines” of the Davis/Lohan incident by L&O;:CI writers.
