"eyebrow window" also refers to a particular window above the main side cockpit windows on particular airliners - the MD-80 family (including the old DC-9) and the early Boeing 737s. They were originally intended for better forward vision for pilots during a turn, but now serve no useful purpose, and newer models of the planes do not have them.
